Welcome to this month’s “Switch On,” and happy post-Prime Day, everyone! For those of you who were on vacation with no internet, Amazon celebrated yet another edition of the world’s second-best fictitious shopping holiday.

Our Prime Day coverage was outstanding, notably live streaming updates by Alvaro Morilla, Meaghan Werle and Elley Symmes. This year, Amazon used Prime Day to deepen members’ relationship to the Amazon ecosystem through tech products and subscription offers like Subscribe & Save and Pantry. For the first time, Amazon involved Whole Foods in the day, giving $10 credit on Amazon.com for $10 spent in stores. A recruiting tool for new members has now morphed into a retention tool for the world’s most lucrative retail ecosystem.

If Amazon has to innovate to Switch On Growth, hopefully that inspires everyone to do the same. Have a great month!
